Country music artist best known for his country-flavored rock hit “Down in the Boondocks”. He was born into a family of musical entertainers in Valdosta, debuting at age 11 on his uncle’s radio show. CMT website

Avery Sharpe
A bassist-composer, Avery Sharpe has played hundreds of gigs with McCoy Tyner. He has played alongside Dizzy Gillespie and Pat Metheny. His first recording was the 1988 album Unspoken Words on Sunnyside Records. Between 1994- 2001 he recorded the Extended Family Trillogy I, II, and III (released on his label, JKNM Records). Sharpe was born in Valdosta, Georgia, on August 23, 1954. official website
