Hello Everyone,
With careful thought and consideration, I have decided to update the member policy to limit advertising on ValdostaConnect.com to a few designated areas. While we have long since had a policy that does not approve of members sending other members ads via site messages or of members posting ads in comments on other members’ profile pages, I am updating the member policy to prevent the use of ValdostaConnect.com by some members as solely a means to sale products and services.
Please know that you can still use your profile page in the way that you always have to promote yourself or business.
In 2007, I created ValdostaConnect.com so that we can truly network and connect with one another in order to help each other accomplish goals and become more successful. I believe that updating the member policy to reduce unwanted and ineffective advertising will set a better tone for the site and create an environment where true networking occurs more frequently.
By the end of the day I will have the member policy updated and over the next week I will work with members to make them aware of the changes. I also need your help. Please contact me if another member sends ads to you via your message inbox, or if another member posts an ad or other spam on your profile page.
